This disco is a frankendisco I swear. picked it up from an older fella, who didn't know much about it and had all work done at the dealership. It has LSE badging, no chrome trim. LSE wood trim interior minus the door cards, those were LE trim package and deep dish wheels to boot! But all service records from new are the same owner. VIN came back from LRNA as British Racing Green (no metal placard on front clip) but I don't know how much I trust LRNA's VIN system. They told me that my 98 D1 was a DII with a 3.9 and a fleet vehicle before my ownership.

yeah Guy must have passed out by the time this chassis came down the production line, there's not even a fade shadow where it should have been.

They made a few LSEs in 1997 and that sounds like one of them.

Is that the 5AM or the 20AM MAF sensor? (Silver body or black?)

That really is a frankenrover. If somebody put the seats, console and shifter handle and added some fender decals from an LSE into an LE then that would make sense.

Bumpers should both be chrome, bumper end caps, chin spoiler, door mirrors and grill should all be body color. Wheels should be boosts. Door cards should have wood inserts and also leather and piping matching the seats.

Who knows with LR though.....

Interesting vehicle if it really is an LSE.

DWEB is wrong.

It is a 1997 LSE. At the end of 1997 they made a few trucks exactly like that and badged them LSE ("late season edition" or "light stone edition" depending on who you ask). 1998 LSE got the boosts and chrome bumpers and everything else Ian pointed out.

That is a factory truck. I know of two others exactly like it. Both were BRG.

Ron

PS I doubt it has one, but does it have a steel spare, if so, I am interested.

Cool, Ron I knew you were a smart guy.

Steel spare it does have indeed. Send me a pm with how much you want to give me for it, it has rubber on it if you want the rubber as well.

On a 98 at least it is Light Stone Edition. That is the name for the color of the leather used in the seats and door cards.

I've heard them incorrectly refered to as "limted special edition" as well.

That's my WG 98 LSE in my avatar.

Now back to letting Blake get on with selling his parts in his thread.....

I agree that light stone edition is probably right, but I have heard both. There was also a 1992 RRC that was a light stone edition aka LSE.
