My brother-in-law is the seller and it's a fiberglass top.

Looks good, bro! The smoothed finish turned out great. Bump, for a nice hard top.

I'm interested, but kind of not an option since I'm in NC. So, I was hoping you could post how they prepared the top for painting and what did they paint it with?

Thank you. By the way, is this truck or are you originally from Asheville?

Hard Top

There were multiple stress cracks on the side of the top. I used fiberglass and resin to to reinforce where the problem aeras were then just resin to smooth the remaining side pieces. The paint is sherwin williams and it was painted inside and out by Macko here in ABQ they did a really nice job.

Jamie and I are both from Raleigh, NC. However, I did live in Asheville for a period of time and used to work at LR Asheville. Jamie's 90 is originally from New Mexico. Now, would you happen to be the owner of the Arles Blue 90 saw parked on Glenwood near Five Points the other day?

Yes, that's me. Sorry for the late reply. Had not checked on this thread in a while... also appreciate the update on the paint for the hard top. Came out looking really nice. Maaco is a gamble. Glad it paid off for you. Sherwin Williams??? Really??? Was this some sort o automotive paint? I didn't know they had anything besides home exterior and interior paint. Good luck on the sale.

Ben

Hard Top

You are right about Macko, the one here in Albuquerque does a nice job, they use a SHERWIN WILLIAMS Automotive Paint. It seems like it is pretty good and they warrenty it so I guess time will tell.
