Complete 3.9L V8

I have a complete 3.9L V8 from a 1994 D90. It has 83K miles on it and ran when pulled, but had developed a nasty sounding knock. I believe I verified the block was fine (doing compression tests) and it seemed to have OK oil pressure. The camshaft showed signs of wear, there was some play in the timing chain and the lifters obviously need replacing. it might be fine after a new camshaft, timing chain, lifters and maybe a head refurb. Might need more

If anyone local wants it, I could probably be sweet talked into letting you have it (you need to come get it), otherwise if you want it shipped or parts shipped, I'll need a little incentive.

Let me know.

LOL. No It's Robbie's stand. He might want to sell it though - best check with him.

I'll drop him a note -- still have the hoist (so I can get it into the truck)?

Follow-up Post:

OK, Charles, it looks like (95%) I'm your huckleberry. Let me find out from the Keeper Of The Calendar what has been planned for my weekend and we can coordinate from there.

thanks!

Make it 100%. Let me know on the hoist, otherwise I'll need to round up some strong-back-weak-minds to help.

I still have the hoist. But give me a day or so - I might need to change plans here...

Sunday afternoon works best for me. If you could make it sometime between 3:30 and 5:30 that would be best otherwise let me know what works for you.

Tony,

Here's the deal, if you want to borrow my Tacoma, I can drop it off Sunday morning. Perhaps then you would be more willing to weld my diff guards on.

No, seriously, my place is just up the road from you in McLean, somewhat on the way to Charle's house, I would be happy to lend you the truck.

Greg
