Ceramic Coated Manifolds, 3.9, 4.0, 4.2

I have several sets of ceramic coated manifolds available. These are stock OEM manifolds that have been professionally resurfaced, re-tapped, heli-coiled if necessary, media blasted, then ceramic coated. We do our best to get as much material inside the runners too.

Ceramic coating lowers operating temperatures by an average of 300 degrees. You don't need to be a mechanic to understand the benefits of lower ambient operating temperatures inside an engine bay!

Selling for $225/pair plus shipping. Paypal is best

Here's a pic from the first batch. The most recent batch was done in a lower gloss black.

No porting was performed.

Absolutely, as long as they are not cracked or unreasonably pitted. The smoother the surface, the better the ceramic takes to it. I will work up a price for you as well as other people that wanted to know what the price on their cores were.

I have a ton of manifolds if you want to work out a trade. I'll provide the cores (as many as you need) to cover the cost of doning a pair for me. Also, can you do the manifolds from P38a Range Rovers? They are more like headers than the manifolds on D90's, Disco I's and RRC's.

Sounds good, I sent you an email with details. Yes, I can do P38 headers as well. I don't have a donor set yet though so I would need the core in advance.

thanks!!

I would like to know if any one has installed these and if they notice a difference in performance as well as engine compartment temperature. They look a heck of alot better than the rusty cast iron.

The max temp for the ceramic coating is 1800 degrees. Considering the coating is capable of lowering the operating temp by 300 degrees, you will be less likely to hit that 1800. In the unlikely event that you do hit the max 1800, the manifolds will be the least of your worries. The Rover aluminum block doesn't take the heat like cast iron blocks do.

There are some off this list that are running them so maybe they will pipe up on the effectiveness of the coating. I would not claim any performance benefit from the coating. I am running them on my own trucks but my input is biased of course.

I will have 3 more sets available as of Monday and those who have already ordered will see yours shortly.

Thanks!

Thanks Brent. I was doing some research for the Tdi. Many of the other coatings out there stated a max of 1300 so I just wanted to check.

Brent-

Do you have a set for a 97 4.0 ready to go?

If anyone has installed these what are your thoughts? I'm looking at ways to lower the temp in the engine bay and ultimately in the cab, any performance upgrade would be a bonus.
