In October I will be joining 15 colleagues from work in Tanzania, Africa to climb Mt Kilimanjaro. The 10 day trek is being organized by a private foundation my company established to benefit its Every Child Everywhere initiative. To participate I have committed to raising a minimum of $5,000.
Trying to come up with ways to raise that much cash is kind if a challenge for me. One idea I had was putting up my small starch of Rover parts to get things in motion.
Starting today and every so often I'll post pics and parts. We'll see how this goes. As they move on ill update the list as well.
First part is a Mantech Wading Kit originally sold by Rovers North. This kit has never been used.
Clay, let us know where we can make contributions.
I hope you'll get some time to check out Moshi while you're there; check out Indo-Italiano off the Double Road for a very good, familiar meal....
Thanks Trevor I'll keep that tip in mind. I'm nervous about the prep, conditioning and fundraising, but it's nice too to have a stretch goal to be working on. Hey, on a normal weekend I'd not be pushing six hours of hiking so there are useful dividends as well.
For now I have to take donations via Paypal. The Serco Foundation will eventually have a Giving Portal available to accept US$ donnations.
Paypal is email@example.com
Many thanks for the support folks!
