What route are you doing on Kili? I went at the end of August in 2011. Had perfect weather and a great time. Really fun hike, summit day is no joke though!

Doing Machame over 7 days. Yep, summit day I hear is an ass kicker. I put 4.5 hrs in today. Still hard to imagine 6-7 at heavy elevation.

Good to hear you are doing it over 7 days instead of 4-5, should help you acclimate much better. 6-7 hrs up and 3 hrs down on summit day. Long day! Great trip though.
