Camel Trophy Plaques

Authentic Camel Trophy Plaques (front and rear of roof rack):

From information gathered through literature and photos I believe these to be 100% authentic. According to the seller these are off a Defender and more than likely used in the Mongolia Camel Trophy event, but not 100% sure. Both plaques have been mounted as seen from the holes, the large plaque has a mark in the middle, depicted in the photos. Great addition to any collection.

Again I believe these to be 100% authentic, if the buyer feels different I will gladly refund all funds minus shipping.

$700 Shipped

Below is one of the emails I received from the seller during the transaction:

"The letters are a very dark Green, which is 100% correct, they were given to me , by a friend who used to work for Land Rover, he removed them. They were removed from a Defender after the event as the vehicles had been sold to members of staff, they could not keep the signs or door stickers on the vehicles. It would have been mid 90ís it might have been Mongolia I think. Iím just packing them now,
thanks Pete."

Can you confirm that these are authentic?

There is more fake stuff out there than real. Very hard to prove provenance.

Good thing I didn't spot those when I picked-up the wheels last weekend. Would have been mighty tempted...

Wonder how hard it would be to draw up a certificate of authenticity and get Tom Collins or another actual CT participant to sign...
