C Hoop Roof Rack

O.k. I will try to esplain. I wanted a roof rack but could not afford one at the time. So I had my C pillar copied and had a rack built that I could not only run my tickford with no rack but could put a rack on it when I pleased. So this is what I ended up with. The C hoop will bolt up to your normal cantrails and bolt to your capings. When you want the rack on, you place the front of it on the A-B pillars and slide one bolt into each of the C pillar mounts. It has runners as you can see from the front support to the back so you can bolt different baskets to it. It is pretty low profile but does not touch the top so you can run your full top with it (you just have to make holes in the top for the C hoop mounts. The C hoop is black powder coated though some of the PC is wearing where I had put some padding around it. This set up worked great but I have gone to a full rack with a basket as I will need the stowage space with the kids and we are not going to be camping for the next five or so years. The tent does not come with the rack. Asking price is $700 plus shipping which I will work out with the buyer to make sure the neither one of us are hammered on shipping. I apologize in advance but local buyers may get preference if they are going to pick up.

bump $550 plus the ride. you can always cut the ears off the C hoop and use it as a replacement for a stock one.

Nice seating plan! Quick and accidental hijack!

Sorry! But I've got a kid on the way and the wife wanted to know what my plan was for a baby seat. I thought I would yank my front and center seat, like the one you have, and bolt in a baby seat. But I never even thought to do what you have done. Leave the sissy seat for the wife to cozy up in and pull the passenger seat, thus allowing her to easily climb back, when necessary, and sit in one of the jump seats and attend to jr. in the baby seat on the opposite jump. Brilliant! I can't wait to see what the boss thinks!

Seat

David
I didn't pull the pass seat. Pm your number and we will chat. Baby sat in the center seat between us until I eventually got a set of old style lock and folds. I can show you pics of my original set up as that is where our little girl born last week is going to go
