These look correct for a 90, but not stock D-I or RRC unless the 90 calipers are fitted. Can you confirm? I could use these on a project- thanks.

Yes, you would need wider calipers to fit.

yep...ventilated v non ventilated... RRC and D1 had solid non-ventilated rotors...and if you change range rover calipers to defender calipers you have problems with the brakes...2 lines in on RRC 1 on defender...different braking system due to power abs vs non abs on defender...Ask me how i know...LOL...

From what I've read, the caliper has to be taken apart and spacers put in for the rotors to fit.

Not quite..range rover classics have a completely different braking system...they have 2 brake lines going into each front calipers...I believe one is power brake and the second is manual braking...

RRC, have the twin/dual hoses and vented front rotors. I use the same rotors on both of my trucks. I have been trying to find more information on running the Defender calipers on my Classic, there isnt much out there.

Early Range Rover classics had solid rotors...I think they went to the ventilated rotors on ABS models...probably in early 90's... the reason for the twin line calipers is because they needed a manual system in case of ABS pump failure... I converted my whole system over to the NON abs vacuum brake booster system and eliminated the whole electric brake pump and sometimes problematic hydraulic booster assy... went to defender front calipers and she work great...hey, if defenders didn't need abs then why should a much heavier Range Rover...LOL...So yes, I believe these will fit the later RRC...
