Brand New Safety Devices Roof Rack D90 ST

I purchased a SD roof rack with the basket from ECR and didn't think through the situation. Need the truck to fit in a standard garage and it won't with this. It is for a D90 ST. It is still crated and can be shipped.

Just looking to get what I paid for it, $2450 plus shipping. It will ship freight and can be delivered to a residential address- the crate is 87"x59"x15" and weighs in at 330 pounds.

No photos as it is crated. Brand new, never mounted.

PM me with offers or to buy it. Paypal is the preferred method of payment unless you are local and want to bring me cash.

Thanks
Alex

A good point of this rack is that it is one of the ones that will be getting the upgraded rack feet, but it made it under the price increase, so you get the new style super duty rack feet that we are making for $2450, whereas if you call today and buy the same rack that would be $2650.
Just FYI to potential buyers.

What do heavy duty rack feet look like?

Alex - Don't sell. Install the rack, get a set of connecting bars made up, and run the basket just when you need it. You can still make a nice set-up for carrying bikes, kayaks, etc with no basket.

I'll show you in a week or so. They look a lot like the stock one, but the bar clamp is more like a split tube than a the pinch clamp. Held together with 4 bolts now, not just one, CNC's out of alloy.

We were having the original style re-made, but after various attempts, they just kept failing under our tests, so we just started over and made better ones and went with the "look" of the old ones, but with a better design.

The first 100 of them should be with me next week.

Ya'll are so not helping my desire to sell it

Jim what do you mean by connecting bars? Is that to support the rear ladder part hoop when the basket isn't on it? You assume I would put a bike on top of it. At the rate my bike search is going I am going to need a fully enclosed vehicle to transport thing so it doesn't get dirty, forget about putting it on the roof.

My biggest issue is fitting the thing in the garage at home, it's a bit tight without the rack.

Alex- Jim is saying attach the crossbars over the front seat to the rear ladder with a straight bar- you'll need to fab them, but so simple. That way they can be removed easily and the basket put on. Several guys have done it to facilitate a lower height.
And I think we all are saying- keep it since you got it kinda thing. Most of us have sold them in the past and now very tough to get- hence my new one in a crate :-)

Alex, keep it. Have two sitting in the barn. You will most likely never be able to get them again.

Or when I dragged my dad to the rover dealer to buy a NAS 110 in 1994 and he decided to buy a conversion van instead.

how to get a sd rack 90 in the garage

just fits in my garage which is 7 ft - they are 2 steel electrical pipes from home depot cut to length painted and a couple holes drilled in them total cost 10 dollars or so but lets me keep the rack basket off - and just hang the basket from the inside of the garage - I was going to sell my rack when I got my can but I need the rack to get a christmas tree every year

Holly is going to keep this in mind for people who call here as well, now that we are sold out.

Thanks Mike!

Internet special for October: 2100 + shipping. Would like to get the rack out of the garage in the next few days. After that I will find a long term storage solution for it and just admire it's good looks.

Thanks,
Alex

Just FYI I just recieved a bid for $250 shipping to CA. Rack was potentially sold and that was shipping from Denver to San Jose area, door to door. If anyone is interested I would be willing to help find a cheap shipper for a reasonable offer.
