BMW Diesel Flywheel & Belhousing FS

FS BMW Diesel Flywheel & Belhousing.
These Factory Land Rover manufactured parts were used to adapt the BMW Diesel to the R380 in a P38 Range Rover.
Would work in a Defender Style Vehicle.

Too many projects and not enough time...

This came from a BMW powered P38 Range Rover diesel.
Based on what I saw on Andrew's thread the answer is No, they are not the same as the südafrika models,
BUT
I was told by someone who successfully used the same parts to fit a BMW Petrol straight 6 into a Defender that the belhousing goes right onto an R380 and the fltwheel bolts onto a BMW petrol engine.
I was going to use these parts to bolt a BMW Petrol 6 cylinder into a 110, but have so much on my plate right now it will be easily 3 or 4 years before I get to that project, so selling them!

Sweet! If someone bought this + my ready to go gearbox & t-case they'd be set!

But yeah, the smaller rear piece (that bolts to the trans) is different from the SA 2.8i version. Post #160 shows the difference. The larger front bellhousing piece and the flywheel are the same. Adam001 used this setup to mate to his petrol M52 and it worked great. See post #79. It's just tilted a little to the left and also rearward equal to the difference between the 2 bellhousing versions compared to how it sits in a genuine 2.8i, so you'll just need to make your own engine mounts. That won't be a problem for you technically inclined dudes.

Thanks Andy for verifying...
Based on what I see on eBay UK, the BMW 6 Diesel is available at reasonable prices if someone wants to go that route, but odd enough these parts I have for sale in this thread were hard for me to locate.

bmw e28 524td's were short on the ground stateside as they weren't popular here in the 80's. the ones that were were often scavenged for the forged cranks to be used in e30 motor builds.

FWIW 1980's lincolns with diesels were bmw diesel engines. Parts for the engines were usually cheaper from fomoco than BMWNA
