Backcountry Adventures: ARIZONA
I am sure a lot of you have one of these books in your library -- they are a great tool for finding new trails and include GPS coordinates, contact info for forest service, remote camping locations, etc. I bought this book to plan my route to the National Ralley from Los Angeles... not sure when I will be using it again.
Here is what the publisher says
"ARIZONA Hardcover Edition:
Backcountry Adventures Arizona guides readers along 2,671 miles of the state’s most remote and scenic back roads, from the lowlands of the Yuma Desert to the high plains of the Kaibab Plateau. Trail history is colorized through the accounts of Indian warriors like Cochise and Geronimo; trailblazers; and the famous lawman Wyatt Earp. Contains 157 trails, 576 pages, and 524 photos"
