Isn't there something odd about this one? Isn't it for a P38a or something? Just wondering, GLWS

Were the banjo trannys in freelanders? Didn't know they used the same term for diffs. Maybe a transaxle?

Banjo must be one of those crazy Australian terms.

Shayne, translate for us!

Crikey mate.. I'd be bloody well happy to...ya see here's whatcha got.. This little beauty here is one of those arb Locker thingys that goes in the rear differential.. Or you could just put it in the front of your motor as well, either way she'll be bonza when you're out in the scrub.. These things are built tougher than a brick shithouse.. But check to make sure she works for your landie..
Happy..???

And yes... Banjo is what we refer to in Australia as a removeable centre unit assembly (pumpkin) as opposed to a sals style unit ..)

The banjo Axle is a common term even here in the US, or Rover type axle .
The RD138 fits the Rover or Banjo axles with ABS .
I can't remember exactly but think the diff is spaced accordingly for the toner ring .

Goofy Aussies and there terms !!!!

So this RD138 is for the P38 axle--- correct?

That's what ARB guide says anyway...

Yes. This is a RD138 for P38 axles. The P38 3rd member is HRC2423 and the Gear carrier has 4 spider gears, The early Rover / Disco have an HRC 1124 that only has 2 spider gear.
