ARB air lockers differentials for sale, fresh rebuild

I did not think there would be this much interest in ARB diffs, so I moved my post to the for sale section, I hope it helps, so I am posting one reply and everybody can get all the information they requested.
I have for sale a pair of freshly rebuilt Land Rover ARB Air Lockers. They were rebuilt by GBR in Salt Lake the end of last year, never installed.
They started out with very few miles on them, but had been sitting in one of my old Discovery’s and not moving for several years I had them rebuilt before I was to install then in a new discovery. Alas that never happened.
The gear ratio is 3.54:1, standard gearing for a 1997 discovery series 1.
They are 24 spline
They come with switches, wiring, air hose and ARB air pump, all used but fully working.
I am looking to sell everything together
PM with questions.
Will fit D90, RR and other rovers
I am looking for around $2200 for the setup plus shipping.
See photos for how they are set up.

I believe it is the RD56, I have a photo that should help in identifying the model.

It has come to my attention that if you are looking are these difs i have converted the the rear diff to use a universal joint instead of the flex coupling so it is the same as the front, this involves a change to the drive line

If anyone wants to split this up I'm interested in one complete diff only.

FWIW I prefer the 56s (which is what you have)....when I switched to 128s I was pissed to see they changed the copper air line routing to go OVER the ring gear! Makes no sense....56 design is much more "install friendly".

Screaming deal for $2k shipped by the way....

yeah but when you measure the run out on the rd56 after shattering a ring gear, you will see why they went with a different design on the 128.

yes, screaming deal, GLWS!

I'm guessing that DB is referring to the ring gear flange on the RD56. It was redesigned for the 128, mostly increasing the thickness. Usually the failure mode is catastrophic...if it doesn't break, then it doesn't really have problems.

You got lucky and it didn't bend, or you didn't check it and you are even luckier. Mine was out by over 50 thou. This would make it impossible to get the backlash set up correctly.

In case you are really bored:
