Dumb question, but are all early land rovers running the same gears? I have an 85 90, but it has full drivetrain and axles from a mid 90's disco. I have no idea of what the gearing ratio is.

Unless your ring/pinion gears have been changed, then it should be 3.54. You can estimate the ratio on your axle by jacking up one wheel, putting the transmission in neutral, and counting how many rotations the pinion/driveshaft makes with one full rotation of the tire. Should be 3 1/2 rotations

Damn, timing sucks. I would be all over this a few months from now. Best of luck. Anybody else have one of these they'll sell in the spring? Get ready.

Leafsprung trucks use 4.56, although there were some early trucks with 3.90 gears. All with coarse spline pinions.

Leafers use 4.7 (not 4.56) and some very very early series I trucks had something close, but not the same. I have never seen a factory 3.90, but I always learn something new.

Does it come with any air lines or the hardware for the diff? What else is needed to run them other than the air compressor? Does it come with the mouthing hardware and switch?
