Ok so I have had a couple people ask me if I am going to be making any more of these so I thought I would send a feeler out to see if there would be any more interest. If I do another batch it will probably be this summer (I am in school right now and working full-time). Also, I will most likely charge just a bit more this time (like $120) due to increased shipping charges and other reasons (like people not sending me their cores back!!!). Anyway, if anybody is interested let me know!

Are those rod ends one piece? Or inserts?

Pendy, these are the ones I used, it looks like they have upped their prices though so I may see if I can find some elsewhere.

Hey Dan

So you got a couple inserts in that rod end to make up the space I guess. I thought someone was making those type rod ends with the ball and spacers one piece. Have not used one like it yet. But seems like an improvement to keep from stacking parts that like to grow apart with rust n' such.

Just an observation here. Nice to see you make these for folks. When I have done this I use an adjustable bushing from a four link setup to get away from the heims. Once again just adding to the information here not bagging on your approach. Kind of a cones vs retained discussion, between the two.

I see, yes I used some high-misalignment spacers to reduce the opening in the heim from 3/4" to 9/16". I wanted to use the heavy 3/4" heim but I couldn't find a 3/4" shank heim with a 9/16" hole. I thought of using a johnny joint or something similar but they seemed pretty pricey compared to a heim and I was hoping to make a piece that wouldn't empty people's wallets but would still get the job done. It is nice to see people use a piece that I created with my own hands, kind of fulfilling. The one on my daily driver Disco has held up very well.

Daniel -- Yes, I only have one stock rod to work with as a core though (since one person did not send their core back to me) so if I were to do another run of these you may need to wait a bit if I have not received the core from the person before you. If I decide to do another batch I will buy the parts and weld up the stock rod that I have now and the first person who pays will get that one and then they would just need to send a stock rod back to me. I don't want anybody sending me money just yet though, I will need to decide if I want to do another batch first. It also looks like I may need to charge a couple bucks more per rod because the supplier for the heims upped their prices. I will see what I can do though.

Does anyone have one of these who never got around to putting it on and wants to part with it? I contacted easy Dan, JohnC and a few others, but no luck so far.
