ABS Amigo - "Group Buy"/Discount

For any DII owners....

This device stores the codes and resets the "three amigos" lights on your dash. Storey (the inventor) has agreed to do a special group puchase for D-web members. Discounts the cost by $30/unit - If you reset your own lights twice, it has paid for itself versus trips to the dealership..... You can click on the link at the bottom of this to complete the purchase at the discounted rate, terms are below.

First come first serve basis on 20 units of the ABS Amigo V1 USB is now available to the Discoweb forum members. Only one item per customer. The promotion is only available for a two week period or until the 20 units have been purchased. Domestic US and International customers are eligible. Domestic USA shipping is 10 USD and International Shipping is 26 USD. All packages will be shipped using USPS priority service which provides tracking information.

Mmh, I don't get this device other than it's portable. You can buy USB OBDII readers for $70 that come with software to do everything this does and more on a laptop. Or a wireless one for this price.

You can't do ABS lights with an OBD2 reader... you need a LR specific computer to read/reset them, so it generally would cost everyone $85-105 for an hour at the dealership to get these read/reset or spend thousands on a LR specific computer.

I've heard good things about this. Really want one for my 2 DIIs...price is tempting.

Aah ok, makes sense. I recall them having separate computers for the ABS, but thought they could all be controlled via the OBDII with standard software.

I am a computer geek but really don't care for them in any critical component of my rovers.
