Woops. I meant for this reply to you Bill, not Jeff. And yes I have the rear carpet(s) and I'll send pics probably tomorrow because the sun is setting and I need more room in my garage to move.

Hi Bill,

Here's what I have available:

Gearshift indicator panel with good numbers. (yes, but keeping for now)
Seat ECU (yes, but keeping for now)
Door lock trim pieces (yes, but prefer to sell entire door panel as one piece)
door pull pockets and screw covers " "
Good console cover (no)
carpet retaining plastic nuts (yes)
Binnacle cover (???)
Rubber pads for dash and console (???)
Plastic nut covers for front seatbelt upper bolt (Prefer to sell with entire assembly)
Any/all ride height sensors (Yes, still on chassis)
Memory seat switch (selling with seats, but keeping for now)
Heat shield for speed sender and brake cable (keeping for now)
Wiper arm plastic covers (spoken for, but will get back to you if deal falls through)
Wiper arm plinths (???)
Autodim mirror (yes)
Sun visors if not all puffy (yes)
Dome light assembly (yes, they are a little sunbaked/weathered)
Dash and door wood trim, if in OK shape (yes, door trim sold with door panels, but also have two extra pieces and the large dash piece as well as the smaller, but I think they are different woods. I'll send pictures by tomorrow. Some of this came with the truck because the previous owner never installed to replace the existing stuff in poor condition.

I'll send pictures of everything and try to hang onto everything for you until you decide otherwise.

The story on the seat ECU and shifter that maybe you could help me with. I plan to use the seats in my late model chevy pickup, 1993. Not sure if its more work than worth, but will I need the ECU, relays etc... for that application? Also, I'm not sure if I'll need the shifter selector and center console for the Defender yet or not. I might be installing the automatic into the Defender.

Andy

I may be mistaken, but I don't believe that shifter will fit a Defender.

D110 Heater, Power Steer, Seats, LT85 and Seats for a Series Needed

Hey guys,

I also need a D110 heater, power steering box, probably a radiator from a newer Defender to accommodate auto transmission lines etc... , an LT85 and a set of seat cushions for both my D110 and my '71 IIa.

Would love to trade for this stuff too.

Andy

I was figuring that I'd have to modify the tunnel and possibly retro fit parts of the console and shifter to the Defender if I used the RRC auto trans. I really haven't made it that far yet. I don't want to chop the Defender at all, so I'll probably just stick with the manual trans, just not sure yet.

Attached are pictures. I also have the original that has a few dents as if someone was towing a trailer and lowered the tailgate onto the hand crank of the trailer, but it's nearly as rust free as this one.

What's with the picture of the shark in your last post?

What's up with the shark... there's blood in the water, that's what!

I'm not interested in the tailgate itself, I need the upper finisher strip IF it's the style with 4 tabs instead of two. It's riveted on.

No problem Bill. I think I'll know better a little later once I get into the installation part of the project. I'll keep you in mind if I let those parts go. I really need to get rid of the big stuff, doors etc... Tell your friends... Thanks for inquiring!

You definitely won't need the seat ecu to put those seats in a Chevy truck. Or the memory switch. And the defender auto shifter stuff is the same as a 95 RRC but not a 94.

They're both two tabs, if you're referencing the "lift" tabs. Sounds like a mute point, but I'd consider separating the piece off of the other tailgate but not the one pictured.

Need anything else? How about a rust free rolling chassis

....another one bites the dust, but only to help resurrect another . Kind of like this guy in the near future:

Sounds like the ECU is no good anyway. The mirrors were not working at time of death and I didn't think to try the memory option. However, I didn't have the time to check fuses, frays or anything of that nature.

Sounds like It'll be more work to connect the '94 auto to a stock defender auto shift setup? Will a '95 trans fit to a 4.2L engine?

95 and 94 auto transmissions are the same, RRC... but the shifter trim stuff is different.

Andy,
Are you keeping the radiator and/or tranny hoses? I need the upper transmission oil cooler hose.
TIA,

Hi Jesse,

At this time I'm keeping both radiator and lines as I'll need them for the project. Need anything else? If I stick with the manual trans and you still need these parts, let me know. I'll probably keep a progress report of the build on this site.
