7.50x16 Michelin & Deestone Tires

I have a set of Michelin XPS Traction tires for a classic Rover or Defender. I think the spare have never been used, the other four have an estimate of 2000 miles on them. Very nice, quiet, and smooth. Off road they are basically all terrains.

I'd rather not ship them, but if you want to pay for it, and are willing to wait, I can do that. I can deliver to Portland area for free.

Is it just me, or are tires notoriously difficult to figure out what to price them at? This set of five is pretty much flawless, and they will last forever. I would like $800 for the set.

I also have a set of same size Deestone tires that make the truck look super mountain-goat-farm-tractor. There are four of them. $200 for this set. You can buy these new, shipped, for about $190 per tire.

Please ask questions for more info if you are interested in details, or have an offer.

I think they would look great on the truck. I just didn't realize I was getting tires for tubes and such, I'm running the Michelins now, and I just don't know if I want to jump into tires that would be this old-school. I'll use them if I don't sell them, though. I think it might be fun to say that I did.

Bumping this thread, BUT ------

I know where a nice set of five lightly used XZL's is for $650.

Hard to believe these have sat for so long. PM for contact info.

I was going to buy them, but I can't sell mine, so I'll call attention to the XZL's this guy has. I have a photo if you want.

Edit- I'm actually going to pass on them, shipping will break the deal for me. But, here are photos of the tires in case anyone is interested in this great deal(and thanks again Jason for helping me out!)

Yeah I know, thanks again for the lead. My boss said he's got a set on Wolf wheels that I should try before committing to buy them/a new set. Someone will get a great deal here.

FYI the measurements on the lugs ranged from .5cm on the worst one to 1.2cm on the best one

LOL! The three of us trying to buy these tires.... I want them bad! But I can't justify spending the money right now when my muffler is starting to fall off, among other things, and I have a perfectly good set of tires already on the truck!

But I told Toby I'd at least try to spread the word about them. Still can't believe no one has picked them up.

When I told him I couldn't grab them he just started laughing. He can't believe they haven't sold and neither can I...

That's a good price indeed... Maybe if you ship them it will help your sale.

IMSMR shipping should be around $40 per tire.

If shipping is $40 per tire, you're looking at over $800 for a set of relatively well worn tires with unknown date codes. Then if you blow one, you are going to have difficulty replacing it.

I like XZLs but they really make little sense.

I'd rather not give his name and number on the forum publicly, but any interested party is free to PM me for his details(a few already have)

Hi guys, I am the unnamed tire owner

I started using my truck as a commuter, so I pulled these off in favor of some BFG A/Ts.

If anyone would like them, let me know. I will advertise them locally soon.

PM me for contact info.

I think this is a good point; but I don't think it is something I would worry about with this particular set of tires. Unless they have been abused (which I doubt these ones have) these should last for a very long time.

I live not far from Toby, and I have been wanting to pick them up. But every time I think I might have the cash in hand, it just doesn't work out.

THAT SAID: I'll take $600 for my XPS tires, as long as these XZL's are still sitting at Toby's place!
