This differential is a great alternative to the front Truetrac if you want a strong differential but not the front LSD steering/handling effects. Pair it with a TT, Detroit, or ARB for the rear.
I sold my truck and need to sell it. MoD Defenders and Camel Trophy Discoverys used this diff. because they are many times stronger than the stock 2-pinion carrier, which is known to explode on occassion. The older units are hard to come by, so I had a P38 4.6 rear diff (LR 4-pinion) machined to fit regular Rover diff. housings (D90, D1, D2, RRC). The machine work was done by a machine shop and the bearing journal was mic-ed for accuracy. Small but necessary changes made in order to fit as a factory part.
over $400 invested
...but will sell for $150 shipped including new carrier bearings.
***Also have 2 cleaned and painted diff. housings, two 4-bolt pinion flanges, two sets of very good pinion bearings, two sets of good 3.54 diff. gears, and some shims. Great parts for a diff build project while your truck is still on the road.
