4.2 Hotrod Rover V8 Project Absolutely Must Go

So in what has been a pretty shitty week all around I just got word my shop is being demolished to make room for high-rise luxury apartments and condos. I'm sure you can imagine the joy this brought into my week. So needless to say I'm going to have to pack it up and move shops. To make this as easy as possible I'm going to sell off as many of my spares as I can.

This is the first of many parts and spares to be sold.

4.2/3.9 Engine Block - good condition, grease coated cylinders, ready to go back together, 2 bolt mains
V8 heads, reworked and rebuilt to D&D specs, everything new, grease coated, ready to go
D&D Polished Crank with Matched Bearings, grease coated
NEW set of 8 Pistons .030 w/ NEW rings, and Rods
Powder coated front cover V-belt
Black Powder coated Oil Pan
Red Powder coated Valve Covers
4.2 ECU
Intake Manifold
4.2 Plenum
NEW Timing Gears and Chain
NEW Crower lifters
NEW Vally Pan Gasket
NEW Head Gasket Set
NEW Oil Pump Housing & gears (non-serp)
NEW Seal Kit, Water Pump, Oil Pan, Front Cover, etc....

$1000 obo

This motor is back up for sale, as I'm helping the buyer sell it as he has found it will not suit his needs.

The fine details:

This is a V-BELT Rover motor, NOT serpentine, and as such is has the short crank shaft snout.
The block is a Range Rover 3.5 block bored over per D&D machine, making it a 4.2
The rockers are machined per D&D Machine spec to use a higher lift Buick cam.
All that this motor needs to be built is a Cam and matched set of lifters.
A new set of lifts is INCLUDED with the motor, just not a cam matched to them. D&D can help you with this.

I am not sure of all of the applications and cross-compatability of these parts so please do your homework, and make sure this will work for you.

This would be IDEAL for an early RRC, Series Rover to RV8 conversion, or an Early 90/110 with the Rover 3.5 motor.

The motor is now located at a very competent engine builder's shop in Allentown, PA who has gone through all of the parts and can give you a full assessment of what is there. If you are interested in this motor I will put you in touch with it's current owner.

I now have this motor back in Charlotte.

I have several receipts totaling over $800 from D&D included with the engine. In addition I have the PO's information, and Craig at D&D is familiar with this engine and everything that has been done to it, machining, setup, etc... Just add the cam and lifters of your choice, Craig at D&D can walk you through what you need, and you will have a serious Rover motor.

If you're wanting to put some ass into your Early RRC or Defender for not a lot of money, this is a great engine.

Now because this is a project engine, it is sold AS IS so ask all the questions you want to.

$1000
