2nd this. Just shipped a complete motor, gearbox and transfer case for $250. Set it on a sheeted pallet on an old tire. Use a few big "L" angles on the motor and gearbox mounts and bobs your uncle.

Fastenall now requires you "crate" the engine, but a couple of sheets of OSB and you are good.

Fastenall is great. I have been hearing different things about the mandatory crate or still just pallet. Last I talked to them..."pallet is OK". Guess I need to check again.

I wish a guy on the MGB forum I was talking to would be willing to do that, has just the engine setup I want but he isn't interested. Right now I'm debating a week long road trip to Portland...

In light of full disclosure I just remembered something about this engine. While installing my diesel, my buddy assisting me with the install wanted to use the threaded portion of the fuel rail so we cut off a 3 inch section...so a fuel rail from another engine will need to be sourced. Besides that everything is in great condition.

It includes alternator, starter, even a/c compressor if it is wanted. Was not leaking anything during the period of time I drove it. I have some service records I can share with interested parties

I bought the range rover from a discoweb member in Denver, flew out there, drove it home with zero issues, drove it for about 6 months, then began stripping it for my diesel install.

Surely someone in Portland (Oregon, right?) could package it up for you?

From reviewing my records it appears the engine had about 88k when it had a top end rebuild by tillery. It was then professionally installed and right at 10k miles have been put on it since.

Not sure it works quite that way. You may want to re-quote a single 72x36x36 @ 1000 # just to make sure as the 2 pallets will need to be joined together to make a single large pallet if you want to ship it all mated. Just my $0.02
