300tdi conversion kit w/zf autobox $4000

Hey guys,
In all the madness of importing a tdi kit from the UK, I got a bit ahead of myself and bought this one from urban. Well, my original kit from the UK came in shortly after, so now I have no need for this one. I paid more than what its priced at, but would rather be out a bit and pass it on to someone who can use it than have it sit on a pallet and collect dust in the shop. Here's what you get-
300tdi complete engine with all accessories(minus power steering pump. Not sure why it wasn't on there.)
Diesel spec autobox w/ converter
Various hoses and pipes
Wiring
Intercooler
New radiator
Radiator and intercooler framing
New downpipe
Chassis motor mounts

The engine has a new timing belt, water pump and thermostat installed as well. I'm in California and will gladly ship anywhere in the 48. Pick up is always welcome as well. Price is $4000. Thanks all.

Cheers,
J. Pound

Did the seller happen to video document the compression ratios?

If he did, I wasn't aware of it. I'll email to check. Urban seems to be a pretty known source for these kits and bench tests before being deemed a saleable item. I've given it a once over and everything seems in good order.

It's from a disco. No interior bits. Comes only with whats listed.

What does the difference in ZF's mean in the real world of trying to do a swap from a Santana with the original 3.5 V8?

I... may.... PM........ you.

It's a diesel spec zf from a disco 300tdi. Shifter assembly is cable driven like all zf's, so I think it would be a pretty easy fit.

The shifter is on a cable...

I was just curious if there was a difference in a Diesel Defender ZF and a Diesel Disco ZF.
I have a Disco ZF -HP-24 #748 which is for the Diesel flavor...

Yeah 300Tdi Defender never came with an auto... though it doesn't really matter as the 300Tdi engine isn't really that different between D1 & RRC.

Forgot to mention, it's an earlier tdi, so it's rocking the bosch mechanical IP.

are they 24's and not 22's like the v8's ? I have one sitting on a roller cart and haven't even looked @ it closely.

They are still 22 for the RRC and d1. Sounds like he has a d2 td5 auto...

All I know is according to Dave Ashcroft the proper 300tdi trans is the #744 and #748.
