1/4" VDO NPTF sender up top. 1/8" Auber NPT sender at the bottom. Another benefit of the smaller Auber sender is that it is bent so it is less likely to interfere with hoses or manifold. The Auber sender also has a longer braided metal wire.

If you like the alarm, they sell a nice buzzer/light combination. If you have a good place for it, they work well. I have one for EGT and another for coolant temperature.

Great! Where did you install the coolant sender and which sender/kit did you get to monitor coolant temp? Do you have alarm only or a digital monitor for coolant also?

I think the VDO sender alarm is 210 F. I try to keep the egts below 700C so keep the alarm at 680.

I'm ready to install the kit today.

Question: should I use any Loc-tite (or similar) on any of the studs or bolts? How about the studs that holds the manifold to the engine? Or the bolts that holds the turbo to the manifold? The kit came with a mystery syringe of liquid but nowhere in the instructions does it say what it's for. Is this loc-tite for the turbo/manifold? Does loc-tite even work on parts that get hot?

Also calls for priming the turbo once installed. How is that done?

Don't know what the mystery fluid is, but I know Loctite Blue is good up to 300 degrees. Don't know about Loctite's other stuff.

I would take a bet that the syringe is a shot of lube for priming the Turbo.

Michele,

How long is the replacement silicone hose you ordered? I also noticed that the one that ships with the kit is the wrong diameter. The shipping list specifies 2 1/3"ID x 2 1/8" long hose. The actual ID 3.2". That makes for a pretty sloppy fit.

Forget that.
70x150mm is what I went for.
I didn't trim mine, simply stuffed the pipes up to it to the point that even if the hose clamp fails, it won't move...

Manimal,
Did you get your kit & where are you in the installation process ?
By the way, is M&D's price of 1295 still current & how much was YOUR freight ?

Hi Dennis.

Its up and running! You can check out the install here. I bought my kit from Keith @ Rovertracks so it was already here in the US. If you are seriously considering I would look at the Allard kits.

John. Just looked at this again and I am reading this right? You set your alarm to 210F/99C?

Is the 680 temp you refer to C or F?

Which one is it?
