3.9 Engine!

I have a complete unit from intake to oil pan. 100K miles. Mass air, ECU, DDB, wiring harness, mass air, radiator, fan, etc. This is basically everything you need to put this engine in whatever vehicle you want. However, you would need the alternator. This was going in my Rover buggy but decided not follow through and need to move this engine out of my old house. I would like to get $950 obo for the whole setup. I prefer pickup. Rob Dassler removed the engine from a running D90 for a TDI conversion.

Old thread back to the top.

Kevin, I didn't even notice you post here, are you still looking for parts?

I need this out of my old house so I will take $500 for everything and I'm taking a big hit on it.

That truck is just down the street from me. I haven't been by to look at it but from what I hear there's a reason there's no pic of the driver's side.

I could. Be happy to. Give her a call to see if she still has it. If so, I can run by anytime after work and maybe even drag CvC along. I'll even take lots of pics.

I talked to her Wednesday, I told her to keep it and put an engine in it. She agreed, she thought an engine would cost her over $5k. She really wants to keep the truck, and after I told here about the many engines running around for $1k and less I think she might.

I don't think anyone around here wanted a deal anyways. Right? I guess you saved me a trip to check it out for some folks.

Sorry guys, I called her way before this post was even around. And besides, she really likes her D90, don't you want to see her get to keep it. Actually I called to buy it myself, always on the look out for a good deal. Then I got to talking with her and she asked my how much a new (used) engine would cost, I could not lie to her.....Besides she said a dealership in town was coming out to look at it the very next morning, if they have half a brain they would have bought it....

I mean is was a limited run black 1994 D90 with leather seats and only 73k miles, who wouldn't buy it for 13k. She is the second owner, she told me there was nothing wrong with the truck besides the rod sticking out the side of the block. No Rust or anything....just had to add that in there.

And why don't you believe me Pendy, I never lie.

Jermony you suck. I have been waiting for exactly this truck as I have a 4.6 sitting here in my closet and 94 limited edition black trucks are my favorite (save the hella editions).

And I care because...................

Nothing personal. I actually wanted the truck too, (and I called before it was even on this board) its not like I called her up to convince her to put a new engine in the truck and take it off the market. She just asked me a question and I answered it. There will be other trucks, trust me I have had 8 defenders, all of them bought at great prices. My cheapest running, driving, good titled, truck I only paid $12k for, so like I say they are out there.
