Its not like that. But you are always buying and selling vehicles. So a tactic to chase off other buyers wouldn't suprise me.

Like Ron I have been looking for this truck as a daily driver for a number of years now. So I don't mind knocking elbows with other bidders.

Nothing personal. She just asked me a question and I answered it. There will be other trucks, trust me I have had 8 defenders, all of them bought at great prices. My cheapest running, driving, good titled, truck I only paid $12k for, so like I say they are out there.
Was that a NAS 90 for 12k? Or a grey market canadian ex-mod with peeling camo paint and 2.5 NA diesel with no power steering.

No it was a NAS D90, non salvaged title. We are talking about NAS D90 so why would I price a non NAS D90.

And Pendy, I have no tactics, If I wanted to buy the truck I would have already done it. And then this thread would have been about the sweet d90 I just picked up for $13k.

Ya I got my first for 12k and my second for 14k--niether salvage of course both had issues when I got them. The record low for an NAS non-salvage I know about is 10k.

But, I always wanted a rust free black 94 and I have a 4.6 block just sitting here. It would so match my black 95 lwb.

Too many . . . at the moment 6, well 5 and a half.

1995 LWB
1994 POE now ST
1984 110 "Janey"
1964 dormobile 110
1959 SII 88 "noah"
1951 SI 80"

I have owned many many more. 05 RR 04 RR 94 LWB 88 RR, two 96 discos, 107 SW, a SIII 88, another dormobile, beyond that I tend to forget, but I think it is 17 in total.

I'm sure you could install a 4.0 in it for her, you must have one laying around the shop

So you're not planning to call her in a couple weeks and offer her 10,000 just so you can boast about how cheap you bought it for? That would be my guess. Wait for the dealer to screw her around a bit more and be the only guy that gave her good advice and seemed to be trying to help. Then just 'check in' later and she decides if she is going to lose, it might as well be to someone who seemed to care. Or after someone hoses up the repair job. She might give you a call.

Really though it does not matter. You say you saw it before all of us so I guess it was yours to take or leave. But I for one would have paid a fair finders fee for such a good deal.

Jim you should give it a rest, it was just a decent deal, not like the deal of life time or anything. I have not thought about it again...........

I have moved on to a sweet Nissan Patrol......

I love irony.

Guess I will just add 20$ to the cost of the LT 95 to chev v8 conversion parts I have in stock.

To the death, indeed.

Why would I want those? She does 110 with a 3.5 carbed, with a 4.6 EFI I bet she could hit 145mph.

Maybe one day a crisp $20 bill will arrive in omaha . . . probably the same day a used 3.5 carb water pump arrives in haverford. :-)

Omaha is in Nebraska, you on the sauce now? I pawned off the parts engine so you are on your own for bits. Even 110 Kilometers is fast for the Janey mobile. I wish I had spent more time visiting with Mike at the rally, he's a good egg.

I got 11 emails in to the Texas chick now. So we will see.
