I went looking for this truck to use it for my own conversion but the cost of getting everything back to my shop and getting my truck back there also doesn't fit into my plans with costs or time as I am not driving my truck back to Florida and I have been invited to return to overland expo as a VIP exhibitor and then I am off to Alaska for the summer.. Was also dubious about doing all of this upgrade to my original camel trophy truck.. If she wasn't a camel I would have definitely done it as I have driven a 2011 and they are REALLY sweet, powerful and smooth.. That 6 speed box is nice.. I will be in England in a year and think I will finish up having to put a galvy chassis underneath my old girl and will do some engine and trans update then.. Maybe just the regular td5 and later trans.. So in answer to your question.. I am currently not bringing the parts back to Florida or the USA.. I guess in a sense you could say I am brokering a deal.. I put a deposit on the truck because if nobody wants it I will finish up going back down there and doing it myself and then bringing everything back and either selling it or using it.. But I do stand the chance of that being in 6 months time..I don't want to have to do that because if I know me I will finish up buying a truck to put it into...).. That might eat into the traveling fund a bit..if I do bring everything back price for the package would be considerably higher..

Bent frame.. ... Trust me, I thought about it but the bent frame doesn't justify the headaches of the complexities that bringing a 2010 into the USA adds...I think every panel has sufficient damage on it to make nothing there worthwhile also.. Would look cool driving down e street all zip tied together though.. Might be a problem driving it across the border like that though.. Lol.. Duuuude, I just wrecked my car in Mexico and now all I want to do is get home to Florida ..when I went into Mexico and got my transit sticker they didn't even look at my car.. And then when I came back across just last night they didn't even check vins or anything again. Just wanted the registration and entered it into the computer.. It could have been anything at all just with my aduando sticker stuck on it..I have been through probably 20 border and military check points and not once has anybody checked a vin in Mexico ... If it wasn't so badly damaged I may have swapped plates and screen and driven it across.. The thought did cross my mind..but much easier and more legal as parts.. Hence this thread..)

OK I'm sorry I had to laugh at this a little after all of the personal touches you have done to it...a Puma upgrade is where you draw the line? Isn't it just a Camel Trophy body anyway?

Almost everything I have done to my truck is original camel trophy items.. And what isn't can be removed in about 3 hours.... Many hours were spent trying to figure ways to install everything without altering the truck itself.. Or like the lockers they can't be noticed... But thanks for the input..)

If its worth any additional consideration, if someone bought it any needed a waypoint they could keep it at my shop trailered(in Texas), indoors for a month or two.

Camera monitors and temp gauges and inclinometer are all installed with industrial Velcro strips.. I added I honk 3 of the original red rocker switches for lights and the extra gauges are wired through e original ashtray located and the only thing that would be visible after removal would be 2 very small screw holes..and I would also like to have swapped the interior and installed the a/c that is on the motor.. As I am sure you know.. Camels didn't come with a/c.. So yes.. The whole upgrade would be overkill and a shame in a camel... :b

Just find a NAS D110 owner and borrow their liscense tag and registration. Tow it back and say it was rolled in Mexico. I doubt the id numbers will be checked out at the border if the tag checks out . It is white and will match the registration color. It is just a parts vehicle anyway

That's pretty much what I was going to do.. But I didn't want to put that on the board as I know someone would have something to say negative about it...

Then just do it. I am sure you can put it in storage somewhere north of the border. You can raise your asking price then also. I feel pretty certain you would have a few customers willing to show up with a trailer to purchase that from you if it was north of the border. And I am sure you already priced it to make some money. So follow through by buying it and moving it where someone can do something with it easier. Then I think you might make some money. Especially if someone can hear it run before they purchase it.
