200tdi motor

I am selling a 200tdi Defender motor with 181,000 kilometers (roughly 112,500 miles). Defender 200tdi radiator frame, radiator and intercooler included. Engine was imported from Spain. I planned on installing it in my 1987 2.5TD 110 SW, but sold the truck before install. Located in Nashville, TN. Asking $3500 OBO. You can call me at 336.314.9441. Thanks, Chris.

Thanks fellas! It is a damn good deal but I am no longer in the market as I have an agreement with Stephen from Safari HP. I can't wait for this to happen. Good luck with the sale.

What? 68 horsepower isn't cutting it anymore? What's the big hurry anyway?

No worries for the seller though, these engines are tough to find and thus easy to sell.

I think you might be missing the context buddy - dozens of PMs, hours I spent on the phone to the UK to source the parts this tdi is missing, and the uship emails I still have to field. Only to have him go completely radio silent once he sold it locally. I could have least have cancelled my uship auction!

Apologies if you need thousands of posts on here to have an opinion!

You don't need thousands of posts. But you do need the respect of the forum. All it takes to lose respect is one daft post that contributes nothing. Eg "time waster".

I'll consider myself scolded - my apologies to the forum for the waste of electrons.

It's just that I had invested hours investigating this particular engine and when the seller dropped out of contact leaving me still fielding emails from the UK and uship haulers, I was somewhat frustrated so left the brief post. I wasn't looking to drag this, or the seller, through the mud here - which is why I didn't post any details.

Having seen extensive threads on the ethics of selling a truck that had been bought on here for a profit, it didn't seem inappropriate to me to make a comment in a sales thread.

To get this back on track - if anyone has a lead on a complete tdi engine with ancillaries that the seller is actually wanting to sell, and is a decent communicator - please let me know.
