110 Take off door sets

Not sure if this should be here but, I am bringing over a few sets of new take off front doors that just need hinges but are ready to hang otherwise. Galvanized, totally new etc etc. I though I would see if anyone here would like to add to the order. These doors retail for $3200 plus shipping per door. I can offer them at $2200 per door plus shipping from 23220. I am more than happy to pass my freight cost from my location to you.

Please PM me if interested sooner than later as I need to finalize the order by end of week.

Thanks!

I've wanted to move to two-piece doors on my 97SW for years. Sounds like the I could do it and have enough left to send my kid to college.

To answer a bunch of the PMs received.

They are roll up windows and the cards are black. Yes, I have the dot glass numbers as well.

97 welded together, aluminum skin doors, and the tdci pressed all steel doors are night and day different. They aren't making more so the term "new take off" is going to be going to be extinct shortly.

The prices we used to see for NTO are no longer the case. The 8 sets of NTO doors I have, and Stephen has are the last I know of. At least in the USA. So the prices set on them we have listed on EBay will only go up as the inventory is depleted.

The price offered by O.P. is appropriate

I know of plenty sets, they are just not for sale, and were purchase in years prior in anticipation of this. I do not have the sets, I like the split doors better.

I didn't realize there is a question of these being priced too high? These are not easy to find and then logistics etc need to be arranged. They don't fall from the sky for $50 per door, unfortunately.

I have a handful of folks interested via PM.

I am also bringing over a crate of four frames. I need one of my 130 and bringing over 4 in a crate is more economical that just one from a shipping standpoint. If anyone has a need for a frame, let me know type and I will get you a quote. Thanks.

Current reality is no supply and global demand. For a restoration shop the option is a compete new door and simply pay a painter to paint it, or to buy a new shell, new parts like regulator, tracks, latch etc and the bill the customer the time to build the door from parts. The economics favor buying a complete door every time. There were not many firms out there building armored cars and wild game viewing vehicles etc out of new defenders so true undamaged new take off bits are rapidly becoming scarce. Rui in Portugal who used to sell off the tdci bodies from the custom safari game viewing trucks he built is taking 6-8 months to find the parts to fill orders lately. The stuff just isn't out there.

Doug is right, no supply and demand at the moment. Great that I have like 10 NTO front doors that I'm hoarding for project projects, all Fuji white and not selling them.

Pricing is pretty much approaching what it would cost to build the doors from parts. That being said, they are painted, and assembled, all ready to go.

In the post manufacturing year(s) it's the new reality.

So the 2013,14,15,16 ROW and Euro D110s that are still here for 40K are worth more than the sum of their parts...

dont know about that, but if I were you I'd be scheming on sending yours back in parts.

That would be quite an undertaking.

It's not like I could wrap up most of it and ship in my household goods...

And 2.4 90 and 110s are sub 10K Euro.

With the math I've done, between parts and labor hours, you can't build them for this. And then however you want to price convenience of them showing up at your door ready to go for the most part, they're underpriced. It's cheaper to bring a few pallets over and I'll take what I need and I thought that some folks here may want the extras. Not trying to put anyone's kid thru college here.
