110 HD expedition roof rack + sand ladders

For sale:

Custom made expedition roof rack for 110 Defender ROW (will not fit onto NAS with external roll cage)

Made by Land Rover overland specialists Bush Rover, from 3/4 inch round tubing, with full length rails running length of rack that sit in the roof gutters and bolt through the gutter drain holes. This allows for the weight to be spread evenly along the length of the roof, and not concentrated on three or four feet. The same design is used in Patriot racks, I believe.

This rack has integral mounts for ex-MOD type sand ladders and a hi-lift jack, as well as mounts for four driving lights at the front. I will include a pair of sand ladders (as pictured, on a different rack) in the price.

Rack is a low-profile design, keeping additional height to a minimum. This is the type of rack used by safari operators in Kenya. I modified the design to my own requirements, including having one side flat with the rack floor to allow for a side-opening roof tent. Has opening to allow for sunroof on 110 to open fully.

Rack has just been repainted in matte black. Is one year old and has not seen any expedition use. I am selling only because I decided to keep using my 3/4 length rack instead. So the one for sale is the full length one, not the 3/4 one you see loaded up.

Rack is currently in Chelsea, Quebec, north of Ottawa. Will be possible to buy there, or anywhere along Watertown, Syracuse, Binghamton route on 3 Nov as it comes down to NYC area. After 3 Nov will be in NYC (Queens). This would be difficult to ship so a local pick up is preferred.

$1000

Cheers,
John

Nice Rack!

Why do I feel like I should report myself for sexual harassment?

Thanks for the interest and the replies, guys. Ray is first in line once the rack gets here this weekend. On the off chance anyone up in the Ottawa area is interested, today is the last day to speak up, otherwise it will be heading south!

Cheers,
John
