110 front axle assembly

I got a great deal on an entire assembly for my rhd>lhd conversion so I swapped out axles.

This is a 10 spline diff and shafts, the cv's in 83 110's are rumored to be the 1 ton units used in the 101 FC's.
The knuckles are in great shape no leaks. Would work on a lhd truck if you swap your steering knuckle over. This is complete except for the brake rotors.

Just thought I'd see if anyone wanted it whole or parts. If not I'll take it to the dump.

"are rumored to be the 1 ton units used in the 101 FC's."

They are "one ton" but not the same as 101 FC.

If they are Railko bushing type I'd take the balls and the swivel housings (knuckles)

All I'd need to see is a pic of the top kingpin, in place of course.

Doug - I'd like to have it but I don't know just when I would get up your way. It would be good for spares for my 110. Let me know what you want for it.

Sorry to take this a little OT from the sale, but what are Railko bushings - and how does a picture of the top pin tell you the difference?

So it is true that the early 110's had strong outer CV's? Was it just the '83 models?

Railko type bushings in a 110 had an extended upper race that allowed for more seperation between the top and bottom king pins, later 110's and disco's also have Railko type bushings only they are flush with the top of the swivel ball. This carried on through about 1993.
The AUE2522 CV is the only decent CV LR ever made, unfortunately they only stuck them on the ends of 10 spline axles. It is common to upgrade the center diff and axles and continue to use the AEU2522 and it was considered to be a great solution for D90, and Disco's up until the advent of decent drop in aftermarket CV's. Upgrading the axles and diff is still a good option for th e110 owners up to 1994ish.

To properly put AEU2522's in a D90, late 110 or Disco involves stub axle and hubs, easier to just buy my CV kit. For earlier 110's it still makes sense to use the 2522 and just upgrade the axles and diff to 24 spline. '92 through 94 110 cv's are the worst as they have the 32 spine inner on the star.
