110 axles: salisbury rear and front

Anyone want these? Selling for JimC who just dropped them off. They are both pretty rusty, but nothing structural as far as I can tell. Say $100 for the front (it has the good AEU22XX "1 ton" CVs and you can use the non-ABS hubs for the salisbury rear disc conversion) and $250 for the salisbury rear. I am willing to part out if you need anything in particular, but expect to pay a non-cheap bastard price as it will take labor to strip them down and time is the one thing I don't have.

Pick up only outside Philadelphia, PA.

Ron

Is the front a Sals or just the normal rover unit?

that's what I thought too. but i think it is just the axles from Jim's 110. Ron I could sure use the RS knuckle off that axle. Can you post or email a photo of it so I can see if it matches my axle?

Thanks
D

Ron,

If they are complete and able to be rehabbed, I'm interested in both. Will ping you off line.

They are stock NAS 110 axles off a chassis I got from ECR. They are re-hab-able, but need a complete sandblasting. The major items are good, but I can't attest to the swivels (they look good but are probably corroded behind the seals). The backing plates on the disc brakes are bad and there is some spline wear on the rear axle shafts. Ugly, but very complete.

Yes, what JimC said.

Figure on normal rehab stuff, ball joint, bushings and bolts for suspension etc. Personally, I think the inner axles on the rear are fine (I pulled one out and they are not twisted just what I would consider minor normal wear).

Picture a rusty salisbury and that is what it looks like. If you blasted the salisbury and did a disc conversion with the hubs from the front you could have a nice set up for not a lot of money and you would have axle spares from the front.

Dave, I will wander out and get photos. As I said they are pretty rusty. I prefer to sell complete to someone who can pick them up.

Ron

Follow-up Post:

Crappy pics as always, but you get the idea. They do need to be blasted or at least some tire with a wire wheel on an angle grinder and some POR15. Also, the front driveshaft is not included nor is the rear sway bar. Shocks are junk. Swivels seem non terrible at least on first inspection as you can see in the picture. I have brought back front cases that looked this bad and they turned out fine with a wire wheel and rust converter/primer/epoxy black paint.

Ron, I could use the front hubs off that axle for my disc conversion...

Andrew,

I really rather get rid of them as a lot. Getting those hubs off will be a bear and I just don't have the time. I *think* I have another spare set of non-abs RRC hubs floating around. If I come across them I will let you know.
