100amp Alternator

New, never installed 100amp alternator with 4-groove pulley that I ordered for my '94 NAS 90. Ended up getting another from someone so I don't need this anymore. $175

Advice needed!

Do you know if this will work on a '97 NAS 90?

I am on a hunt for an alternator and the whole thing seems a little shady. The dealer (we recently moved and we don't have a relationship with them) wants $1,200 (!!!!) for an OEM one but our old shop is suggesting a Bosch that "should work".

Others are suggesting to get our existing one rebuilt. Thoughts?

Had my old one rebuilt for about $120. Whats not to like?

A reman Bosch (rock auto) $183 plus Core if not returned. More Information for BOSCH AL9348X

Rn Proline $280

etc

Check condition of tensioner and belt and replace if necessary.

Thanks to both of you! I will need to find someone in the Chicago area to rebuild if I went that route - and thanks for the specific link of the Bosch!! I'll post the results of all this work turned out!

It's surprising how many alternatives there are out there. Good luck!
