No there are not the same as the newer lock and folds. These are more of a light duty seat as there is a thin steel pin about 12 inches long the attached the seat to the mount. I have owned a set of these and you will need to drill I believe 4 holes in the top of the tub to mount the seat swivel point to the tub. One will also consider how to secure the passenger to the tub (via a seat belt set up).

I would IMHO consider these a light duty seat. I would not consider putting children in this seat as I don't think they have any crash test rating unlike the newer lock and folds which I as their name suggest lock into place.

This is a good price for a spare seat in the rear if you are looking for a temporary seat.

Hope this helps.

I think they are unique to this seat. at this one is a little narrower. I know of three different styles of rear forward facing seats from Exmor and I don't think any of them have interchangeable foam. I could be wrong but I have owned a three type and recalling this from memory.

I did run these folds facing backward for a time being as I though that would give a little more protection to the rear passngers incase of a roll and you can use get creative with the seat belt mounting for these seats
