WTB 95 or 97 SW

I have wanted a Defender 90 for 10 years now and am ready to make it happen. I have been looking seriously for 6 months and have come close but haven't been able to bring one home.

I am looking for green, blue, white, red in that order. I would prefer 75k or less miles and obviously no rust. I am ok with slight mods - winch, lights and bumper - but am also ok with stock.

I check all the sites that i know of regularly - Craigslist thru searchtempest, eBay, autotrader. Would love to be in 20's but am realistic and ready to go to low to mid 30's for a great 90.

Please let me know if you have one or know of one ready to go to a great home.

Thanks,
Max

My wife bought me this for Christmas - we are expecting our first daughter in May. Now I just need the truck to go along with the bib.

Max, PM your address and I will mail you the best baby shirt around. Yes, that is a D-90 SW, SD rack and all. My son out grew it after a few wearings, but it is good as new.

1995 Land Rover Defender 90 Stationwagon (NAS Edition)
USA import in 2003
V8. 5 Speed manual. 134,000 miles. In excellent un-abused condition. Many upgrades and repairs by a Land Rover collector since acquiring in 2003.
Imported from the US. 3rd owner. All receipts and records.
This is the North American Spec edition with factory rollbar and four rear inward facing seats. If you are interested in these vehicles, you know what they are.
This vehicle needs nothing and runs great.
$21,000 is a bargain.
Must see in person - I'm not sending photos to everybody.
Located in Victoria.

Reese, any idea what it takes and costs to import that truck back to the states? If so, would you be willing to do the leg work and guarantee it doesn't get hung up somewhere in the process?

You should be able to simply register it in your state. Particularly this one since it was originally imported into the states in 2003 according to his ad.

Its a US truck that was taken into Canada. An original US truck should not be a problem and the vin should be valid in any DMV.

Hell, I have a '93 110 canadian truck that I registered in the US. In my case the vin was valid as well since the NAS trucks are legal in both Canada and the US.

I have never registered a truck in the northeast or west coast so maybe they can find a way to make it more difficult.

This is now my D-90, since lunch today! I was looking at it a few days before this post - didn't want to jinx myself by responding to the thread...

It seemed like it was meant "to be" - it's in very good shape and was just across town (a small one at that). I guess the coil-spring adventure begins...

Congrats! I reached out to the seller and saw some pics but you had already been in to drive it. Enjoy!

My search continues.

Thanks.

Yes - this one feels like it was good value (IMO), but to buy something like this from a great distance would be difficult, for me.

Max, I wanted to ask if you've picked a 95SW yet? I have a 95 in coniston green in excellent condition. It is completely stock. It is number 494/500 SW imported in 95. I will have pix pulled together tomorrow.
