Look the truck is from Torrance, CA. ... it must be those guys at Expedition Exchange.
I think Ho from there had this truck!
Maybe he meant to put $75,000

She, she, she. :-)

On the "learn how to spot a scam" link at the bottom of the listing it says this...

Common-Sense Advice for Buyers
Buying a car you find online is a lot like buying a car through a classified ad in the newspaper. In either case, use your best judgment.

Know the car's market value

Be suspicious of a vehicle priced significantly below market value. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

There you have it!

I think this is a hilarious indicator of what our society is becoming!

I though you all would get a kick out of this listing.

I am a Business Banker for a commercial bank and just the other day one of my customers called and said that he had recieved a check in the mail....... and all he had to do to claim his million dollar prize was to deposit the $6500 check....send $3000.00 back to the lottery company and they would then send him the BIG check. He was excited and I felt bad for being the one to let him down.

I asked if he had played the lottery recently and he felt stupid for falling for this trick because he has never even played the lottery.

I guess desperate people try desperate things.

Scams like this make the jobs of people who market on the internet much more difficult, In the uk as a dealer we often get emails from african countries particuarly from uganda asking for engine parts and engines, but the tell tale is the yahoo email address, the incorrect phone/fax numbers and the payment by certified Cheque.

I normally forward these scams onto the anti internet fraud people at the UK DTI (Department of Trade and Industry)

I almost bought this same truck back in the fall from one of the better known Defender dealers. It was owned for 11 years by Wayne Gretzky, titled in Greenwich. It had changed hands several times in the last few years and still retained The Great One's autograph on the visor. Sadly, all the years in CT did not do the truck any favors. Frame had plenty of fresh paint. Price at the time was 30K. H.
