Talking Who owns NAS 110 431? It's for sale on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/110-S...item3a53e305f2

Im sure the seller has been hacked, this states that the Buy it now is 15k and to only email the listed email address.

I emailed them and I'm buying it.

I reported it to ebay.

Follow-up Post:

Here is the email he sent me.

Hello,

Sorry for the late response, but because I work with the U.S. army, i am stationed in Iraq it's very hard for me to reply faster. I wanted to let you know that the vehicle is still available. I am willing to sell the vehicle for $15,000. It looks and drives great, it has never been scratched or wrecked. It will come with a clear title, bill of sale signed by me as well and all the papers (including the original manuals and keys) that you will need to register it under your name. So I'm willing to let it go for $15,000, First come, First served. The shipping is done from IA. Shipping is already paid,I have made the arrangements to ship the vehicle anywhere within continental US, so I've left it at their warehouse and it 's ready to ship at anytime.

Look forward to receiving your answer

He told me the prepaid shipping was for express so I should be getting it in Vegas tomorrow!

I'm guessing he didn't tell you about the 15k I wired him yesterday! I think you've been scammed!

Here is the follow up email of me asking what unit he is in and why the 110 is no longer listed...this is obviously 100% legit! (sometimes I just have to keep going with these people)

Hello,
Great to hear that.I`m deployed in Iraq with the Delta Company, 3rd Brigade of the 509th (Airborne).Somneone offered me the selling price, I`ve closed the action for him and then he wanted to finance the car, and I don`t agree with this method of payment .Since I`m not in US, the sale is done using the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection. The delivery is made from West Bend,IA. Let me explain you how the eBay process works. The process works something like this:
1. You send the requested amount(in our case $15,000.00) to eBay motors
2. eBay will confirm me that you have made the payment. The payment is held by them.
3. I will start the delivery process to your location. You will have 5 days to test and inspect the vehicle.
During all this time, eBay blokes your money. If you are satisfied and you decide to keep the car, you have to inform eBay about this, and they will release the money to me. If the car is not as you expected and decide not to keep it, eBay will refund you the money, without any questions, and the shipping back will be my concern. I think this is more than fair for the both of us. Please take into consideration that I receive the money only after you will receive the car and make sure everything is OK.If you agree with these terms and you have the money, send me your full name and the address where you want the car to be delivered and I will initiate the transaction with eBay. You will receive all the transaction details from them. The delivery Price is included.
Thank you

I am assuming this is some sort of new payment program ebay motors has developed to compete with paypal...

Yea it's a made up payment process that these scammers use. I took one far enough to get the fake ebay invoice.

Always remember what your folks taught you: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I have often wondered why they only ask for $15,000, when it is the low price that gives it away that it's a scam. I have seen several of these eBay scams, and all of them have an unrealistic low asking price. Also, I wonder how reliable the purchase protection is that eBay offers.

I love the "ebay made up their own payment system to compete with paypa". Doesnt ebay own paypal now?

Those are the key comments to spot a scam... all reputable shipping companies will steer you away from this crap.

Read this article from DAS... http://www.dasautoshippers.com/Default.aspx?tabid=343

mention you want to use an escrow company and you'll never hear (read in our case) from them again.
