Well used green d90 softop for sale

1994 - 101,995 miles

This vehicle was originally owned by college roomate who i purchased it from about 8 years ago, I have a new baby which has prevented me from actually getting out and it has not been off paved roads in around 4 years.

Prior to that it was used heavily as a trail vehicle and shows the assoicated rust, dents, dings, scratches, etc. I am not mechanically inclined myself and with the work that is currently required I have reluctantly decided to finally let it go.

The BAD:
* it has been rolled once, both front quarter panels have dents from a prior brush guard that was on the vehicle when rolled
* right door has significant damage from a car accident around 10 years ago
* the radio is shot
* the rear speakers need to be replaced (the right rear was ripped out while parked)
* each panel on the vehicle has some level of damage
* the oil line ruptured around 60 days ago (source of oil in pictures) and has been replaced

The Really BAD;
* took the car in to the shop this week and is no longer driving - once they took the transmission apart they were able to determine the following needs;
- rebuild / replace clutch
- rebuild / replace transmission
- rebuild / replace transfer case

The GOOD;
* is has always been a great trail car with limited issues prior to the current ones
* clean title
* i put $2,400 into it on 11/13/08
- replaced front and rear brake pads and rotors
- replaced vacuum advance unit
- replaced valve cover gaskets
- replaced spark plugs and wires
- replaced air filted
- replaced right front tie rod
- replaced light bulbs
- replaced power steering hoses

I am currently having problems reducing the sizes of the pictures that i have, but will post once I figure out how to do so - also available by e-mail for interested parties.

$8,500

Yeah, if the condition of some of the major end items is good, this will part out for more than the asking price. A good deal for someone who wants to go at it.

Just at reasonable (not premium) prices:
Cage - 2500
Bulkhead and frame with title - 3500 easy
Old used winch and bumper - 400
LHD conversion parts (dash, steering gear, front axle, heater) - 1500
Rear bench seat with hardware - 400

and there's stuff left over, so its not hard to push the part-out total over 8500. The fact that its in CA sux for us East Coast guys though.

It looks like it has the rear steps to a rack. Those sell for a decent amount too don't they?

Hard to tell about rust on it. I'd think if it wasn't too rusty, and the cage and bulkhead etc were good, that you'd be better off putting in a tranny/tcase, swapping out all the panels and repainting it.

I'd be interested in the rear bumper and the winch.

Additional clarifications

The "roll" that happened with the vehicle occured around 8 years ago and was done at a very low speed on a steep incline on a trail - there was no obvious damage to either the cage or the frame and i have not experienced any related problems.

There is a small crack on the lower right side of the windshield that looks like the result of a rock or similar from highway driving.

The ladder on the back is the one piece i plan on removing prior to sale, I will be listing that seperately will a full size safari rack which is not currently on the vehicle, I am chasing down some details on the rack type and making sure i have all the connectors and will then list that separately.

I do have the full size soft top in poor condition, being in southern CA the car has been a weekend driver and the top has been in a box for the last 5 years, but was in poor condition prior to being put in the box - no guarnatees on any potential utility from the top.

Outside of the safari rack and ladder I am not looking to separate out any additional pieces for separate sales.

Yeah, it looks like it has the Black Leather seats. I thought those only went in black Ds in '94 though.

thanks for the offer Barry - feel free to take a look if asked, i assume that could be very useful to those that are not local

on the seats - they are black (and it may be some kind of leather) - I don't know enough to answer the question on if they are unusualy but they are the original seats

Seats look reupholstered. I'd bet money they're vinyl. 8500 is still a good price for a complete truck with a clean title.

we are always interested. Why not start a new thread for it with pictures and asking price?
