UK Spec 1986 110 CSW

Selling to finance my next project.

1986 110 CSW
300TDI, R380 professionally converted from a wrecked MOD Defender. Has the proper seat base and trans tunnel.
I have serviced the complete drive train, new fluids, filters, timing belt, etc,. I have replaced the bearing and seals in all four weels, replaced the swivel balls and cv joints. Replaced the left hub, it had a broken bolt in it. New front brake calipers, and new rear brake cylinders. New tie rod ends. Front shocks replaced, it now sports a front 1 ton salisbury axle! Has a 9000lbs winch(needs new electric motor) and brush bar. Comes with a galvanized roof rack. 4 like new tires. Has second row Range Rover seats, had front Range Rover seats, but I replaced them with stock Defender seats to access the batteries. Body is not perfect, has rust holes in the bulkhead beside the windshield hinges, I have the patch panels. Bottoms of all five doors need attention. Paint has bubbling underneath. I have new windshield seals. I have a pile of receipts for all parts replaced. Will add photos in the next few days. Clear Virginia title!!!!! Just needs a little body work to be to be perfect, or drive as is on the trail!

$16,500

Call anytime before 9pm, 804-832-7593.

Don't listen to him... the dood speaks Aussie.

If it has a green oval... it's a money pit regardless of model.

Interesting that it's got this big, bad-ass Sals front axle, but 'lil non-vented front brakes.
I'm still learning about all the different configurations mind you, so maybe this is common.

Yes, this is common. The Sals front axle was used when the solid disks were being installed on military Defenders. You will also find some with drums!

How far down does the left side bulkhead rust go? Typically it is inside out - so seeing this on the outside seems like it would be pretty thoroughly rusted on the inside...any ideas?

I will see if I can get you a few good photos of the rust. It appears to be limited to holes you see, the footwells have been replaced in the past. I had planned on removing the windshield and patching those holes and have the new seals, including new windscreen seal. I also forgot to mention that I have new Td5 style hinges for the front doors. I will make a list of all the new parts.

It looks like you are about 3 hours from me, you can come look at it anytime.

Andy - the underside chassis rust is particularly disturbing...particularly the pics titled "...110undersidexxx" - they show some extreme chassis rust, extending throughout...together with the photo "IMG_2994.jpg" of the bulkhead tells me the bulkhead is shot...

So with the understanding (albeit site unseen) of the photos - I would say a complete chassis swap, together with an expensive bulkhead repair/replacement - and probably other areas of rust unseen...tell me that a very expensive $000's repair is in need. So at that asking price the drive down wouldn't be worth it.

Thanks for the offer anyway - and good luck with the sale.

OH BTW.....nice job on the AK!!

If you looked through my photobucket account, there are TWO 110's on there, the rusty one was my first Land Rover I imported, very rusty. The other one is my current 110, there is NO chassis rot on my current one! I would recommend coming and looking at it.
