I don't want to shit on the guy's for sale thread and I don't need to start a Horsey style debate about whether the pictures need to be in front of a fountain or well next to Horsey petting a horse but jesus man, how about you wash the truck and take some better photos.

It's still 60k and even the biggest idiot buying one would want to see it clean. Also not sure your situation but a wax job would go a long way. I have never seen a more forgiving color on a defender.

$42k already on something that needs a total rebuild?

once the reserve is met - then you can talk about price.... as of now it is just a "number".

Why does it need a total rebuild?

I'm less concerned with the cleanliness of the vehicle, but the driver's door doesn't seem to match or to fit. Was it in an accident, was it replaced or repainted?

The seller made it clear that this was a sale under duress, so I'm not expecting a soft focus shot of a truck in front of some amazing backdrop. I'm just wondering if there is a bit of an attempt to make people feel they are getting a bargain since the sale is made under duress. But I'll let the experts on this site decide. I was hoping that folks more expert than me would weigh in on whether or not the truck needed a complete rebuild. So it'a $60,000 plus how much to bring it up to snuff? I think the seller has been fair in posting (eBay) lots of picture of the undercarriage and stating what the truck has and what it needs.

See item 11 in the eBay listing. Most replace the doors when they are rotted out. Inquire about the other areas that typically see the same fate.

Marc - I bought a NAS D110 in similar shape back in '08 and would be happy to discuss with you offline what some rough budget estimates may be for some of the work that i did to get it back in shape. I'd rather not clog up the OPs sale thread with that info.

Steve - GLWS!

Looks like the auction ended at $45,847 with 16 bids and didn't hit reserve.

Perhaps you are right, it didn't fetch $60k. The market spoke.

Looks like it didn't sell again and was bid up lower than the last time (bid up to $45,847 in original auction and up to $45,101 this time).
