That gold truck is a sharp looking bastard! It's amazing how much aggressive tires improve the image of a vehicle!

White one....my favorite. With someone that has some know how, this could be turned into a $40k truck pretty easily, IMHO.

That is my wife's favorite....I am partial to the white one. I was thinking of just taking everything out of the back, cleaning and painting it and putting rubber mat down.....BUT, we just bought a house we cant afford, have a bunch of these trucks, getting two chocolate labs and oh wait, found out my wife is prego so the asset column needs to be lighten a bunch......

A suggestion is to sell one truck per Thread.

You have good information, pictures and good price.

Selling multiple vehicles in one Thread confuses folks.

Yea, you're right. I originally just wanted to put up a few shots of each to gauge interest. However, I've gotten 10+ emails already today and have two 'scheduled' viewings this week already so I put up the balance of the shots....we'll see how it goes. thanks though.

That gold one looks good. Is there a bigger radiator setup in there? The front grill looks pushed out to accommodate a different cooling system.

Gold truck has an air conditioning grill bump out and a/c dash but no a/c under the hood.

Congratulations on the pregnant wife Devin. Guess those 10pm nights @ the office will be over for you soon.

Guess I should have put my '97 NAS 90 SW on the market last month. I'd make a play for the orange one.

As good as, or better than, described

Hello folks-

I just got back from looking at Devin's Defender offerings and I wanted to share my impressions.

First off, Devin is a really nice guy. He is not your long lost cousin who is a Nigerian prince or anything like that. He is a down-to-earth guy that does the Land Rover thing on the side.

Now, for the 110s. Overall they were as good as, or better than, described. I drove the gold one and the white one and they both drove just fine. I made the drive to Richmond mainly to see the gold one, but I must admit that I left with the white one being my favorite. Here is a little breakdown of each (worst to first):

- The orange 110 has the most rust. The bulkhead is pretty bad, but there is a nicer bulkhead included that you could swap in. I didn't drive this one.

- The gold 110 is GOLD. I had a Discovery that was that metallic gold-silver color. Nope, not this one--it is the color of prop paint for gold bars a la elementary school. This 110 had the nicest/most complete interior; it was brown, but it was all there. It had a/c at one point in its life, so it has the brown dash with vents (but the vents don't work) and the bumped out grill. However, with the normally aspirated diesel it could barely get out if its own way (and that's saying something--I drove my TDI Jetta wagon to get there). I don't know if I would try to take this one out on the highway regularly.

- The white 110 was by far the best structurally and mechanically. The frame was black and seemed to be pretty well taken care of. The rest of the undercarriage was also really clean and I don't remember seeing any rusted-on bolts, etc. There was rust on the bottoms of the doors (rear two were worst), but they were structurally sound. Also, two brand spankin' new rear doors are included. The paint is passable as-is--it is more of a cream or antique white. The tires were also in really good shape. What surprised me most, especially after driving the gold NA diesel, was the V8. It started right up, was quiet, and idled well. It was really smooth driving and shifting. It could use a 5th gear (it's a 4 speed) if you're going to drive it on the highway regularly, but it would probably be okay as-is. The biggest downfall of this one is the interior. The front seats are nice, but the back seats... The second row seats are included (60/40) and look to be in pretty nice shape, but they would have to be mounted (I didn't see the hardware, but I also didn't ask); there are no bench seats, etc. for the back. Also, there is no carpet and/or rubber mats. One other thing of note is the 2-piece doors with sliding windows--some people love them, some people hate them, but that's what this Defender has.

BL: Devin is a good guy and the D110s are slightly better than advertised.

Cheers,
Mike

------ Follow up post added June 23rd, 2014 07:58 PM ------

I almost forgot...

He also had two D90s for sale.

They were both RHD; one was a pickup and one was a wagon.

I didn't really look them over, but they both looked pretty good at a glance.

Deposit taken on the gold one!

White and Orange still available. The white one would need about $1500 in interior work tops to make it a $35k truck. The orange one would be a great knock around truck for someone or a very solid truck for a complete rebuild as you will have the new bulkhead!

The two blue 90's are 11k each. I have a post somewhere for them that I will bump.

Come on guys, help me out here, I'm having a kid. Need the money so he (please let it be a boy) can drive one someday!
