SoCal FS: 1966 Series IIA 109 Station Wagon

This truck has a super clean chassis. Chassis has been swapped from another Series IIa from the same model and year in the past (vin number clearly stamped in proper chassis location). No rust anywhere on the chassis/bulkhead with all mechanicals in working order including the rare and original turning signal mechanism. Recently changed both rear half shafts as one of them snapped (kept good half shaft as a spare). The pair of half shafts were ordered from British Pacific here in Sun Valley. Transmission, clutch, transfer case, overdrive and engine all purr like a kitten and does go 65mph on L.A. traffic. All high and low gears work perfectly along with the four wheel drive transfer case and its hubs all engage properly as they should. The carburetors were recently serviced and it starts right up on the first push of the start button. Will include all paper work from previous owner as well as the owner's manual.

For additional pictures of vehicle visit this link: jabel.phanfare.com/forsale

Located in SoCal, $10,000

Additional details:

-Original 4 cylinder inline engine
-new brakes all around
-over drive is in great working order and will keep you to 65mph
-original safari roof (rare)
-custom full length roof rack (staying true to the LR tradition of using heavy gauge aluminum)
-NO frame or bulk head rust
-Clean Title and tags up to date
-NO smog necessary
-winch tray will be included(currently off the truck)

Cosmetic flaws:

-roof has ruffled area by passengers side b column
-paint is bubbling in some areas from not sticking well to the brimbright panels
-rear passenger's door has sill cancer.
-bulkhead has slight bent refer to bulkhead picture
-diamond plating behind rear doors has replaced the stock panel and its ben riveted into place
- this is not a concours truck at all. It has been through many adventures since 1966 therefore it is not a perfect truck. Please refer to the link above to see high resolution pictures of the vehicle.

Mechanical flaws:

-rear driver's side half axle gasket is leaking very slightly
-Steering has play. Currently servicing 'relay' unit will be sorted out for next owner.
-horn is not working.
-tires are too wide limiting turning radius and making it difficult to steer while not moving (solution is a proper set of 235/85/16 or 7.50 x 16 tires).

If anyone wants a third party look at this truck, I can travel to inspect for forum members.

Congrats. I didn't think that would last long. Only took you a couple days to sell it.
That was a nice series IIa 109.
