Man it would be awesome if we got to see these come through your shop again, along with forward controls and the like...!!!

Man, that went fast! I was thinking we were gonna get teased with some pictures of finished product before it would go... Great to hear it sold easily...

Since we're talking lightweights, do you guys have a recommendation for bulkheads? I have a really sore '67 that is gonna be a long-term project... the frame is shot (got a galvy replacement already), but I'd rather try to source a new (to me) bulkhead if possible, as the salt air has truly and completely eaten the one on the truck now... and in my superficial search, so far I haven't seen anything about lightweights on the pegaus and ashtree webistes...

Any thoughts would be appreciated...

You can try contacting PA Blanchard in the UK. They were having new bulkheads made some time ago - not sure about current availablity. Look about 1/2 way down on this page:

Thanks Jeff...

I'm sure it goes without saying, but your resto was spectacular... I'll be happy if mine comes out half as well... and yes, you can bet I'll be bugging you for advice at some point...

+1 on PA Blanchard. Great guys.
Not sure what they have anymore (we did this truck a long time ago) but they are a good source.

Thanks for the comments on the truck. It isn't as nice as Dr. bears Blue 300 Tdi SIII 88, but its a fun little blast of a Lightweight.
Didn't even get a chance to do pictures. It is getting cleaned up today and I usually do pictures after they are cleaned up. The buyer came and saw/drove the truck before we could get it cleaned up and bought it. As with most of our trucks... the first person to see them in person usually buys it.
Holly drove it home last night and even she likes it.

I know little about Lightweights, other than that about 2900 SIIA Lightweights were made.
