That's a really open question.

Let's hope Sam has seller's remorse and grabs this as his next project.

I know, I guess I'm thinking of ECR quality...I guess I just need to break down and call them. I am curious on restoration for my LE as well...

Plenty of board members with amazing build experience willing to do long term projects like this. Crown14 from the board is one of them. Check his old build threads - he's for hire. You'll get it back way sooner than if you sent it to ECR, too.

Can you find some of the old threads that you think are the best? I can't find any build threads by Crown14.

Thanks

Nevermind. I found it.

Thanks for the questions. As for price???? I hope I do alright, but you never know. There have been lots of inquiries and watchers. As for restoration $, I was going to the work myself, and figured about $20k in parts. Could easily have missed when the build started and ended up at $30k. As for one of the big guys? Don't know.

Thanks for looking, Ted

i think the rules require a price in the for sale section ... if I had space I would already own this! ;-)

I am currently rebuilding my '93 NAS D110 (#437) so have all the pricing for body parts and such and the various vendors that offer them. I'd be happy to review with those interested and share some thoughts on budgeting but prefer not to clog up the seller's listing with all that info.

Good Luck with the sale.

All you'd need is a crane to hoist it up to your balcony and you'd have an awesome place to wrench on this baby.

Good, glad you mentioned this. Good to see that there is acknowlegment that there are plenty of quality alternatives to ECR. Defenders are not a Formula 1 car, so there are plenty of people with good work ethic and passion for Defenders out there that could fully restore a crusty 110 for a fraction of what ECR would like to charge.

Despite the unabashed self-promoting efforts of Mike, ECR is NOT the ONLY Defender expert. In all fairness, ECR has set a difficult standard to follow, but there is plenty of solid shops out there that you won't be into six figure restorations (plus base truck).

Did you close your auction early? Depending on the final price I was kind of hoping to buy this.

Seems that either NAS 110 owners are impatient on fleabay or unrealistic. I probably would have bit at Kermits old truck, but the owner sold it for around $4K less than I was going to bid, which was another $3K less than his asking price. He should have just let the auction run its' course. Looking back, however, it was a good thing I didn't end up with it.
