ROW Defender 110 5-door project deal

After looking at all the stuff in my yard Iíve decided I just have too may projects and wonít get to this for quite some time despite my best intentions so Iíll pass it on to another enthusiast. Itís a RHD 1985 Defender 110 5-door wagon. Imported by uncle Doug back in 2010. I have copies of all the original import paperwork. The vin decodes to 3.5 ltr V8 petrol but someone along the way swapped in 4.6 ltr (engine code 60D 1998-2002 P38 4.6) and some kind of aftermarket carburetor. Reverse is up and to the left so maybe LT77 tranny? Not sure. It starts and drives but Iíve only driven it up and down the street. I wouldnít take it on any trips. Thereís rust in the footwells. The frame is rusty but I think maybe salvageable. It has a new battery at least. This is a total restoration project at this point, NOT a daily driver. With the truck you will get a clear Nevada title and the following goodies to help you along in you project:
-4 push button handle doors, condition about 7 out of 10. One 2nd row door is missing some guts.
-1 fairly dented (but non rusty) bonnet
-1 grill (used) and headlight finishers (new)
-1 spare wheel
-1 steel fuel tank

$15,000

Interesting truck, 85 and V8 would be the LT85 if its original configuration. Trans hump looks to confirm.

I remember that truck. Story was it had been built up to do a rally across Wales, think the story was that it had won. Looks like its been changed up pretty considerably since arrival.

??? LT85 uses an LT230. Should have the shifters as shown.

Take a picture of the gearbox.

Has ANR1534 wheels. It's worth buying it and restoring around them.

Those extra gauge pods on the dash top are hilarious. That should seal the deal right there. And yeah, I have always loved those doors.
