ROW 110 200tdi implant

Fellow Board Members, this truck popped on my radar this morning and it is what it is.

1985 ROW 110 with a 200tdi implant. The following is the seller's description and all I know at this time.

Hi, here is a nice 1985 original 110 county i have just bought, it has the 200 tdi engine fitted, runs and drives, chassis and bulkhead seem very solid, interior complete but is a bit tired, doors are ok condition, little bit of rust on a couple, with a few repairs they will be solid, body seems to be mostly original paint, all in all a nice 110 thats solid but is a bit rough but would make a nice 110 with a bit of work. Thanks

Sale price: $11,000 with delivery arranged for pick up in Baltimore.

Based on the email I received this morning from the seller it is being offered to other clients of his also. So, if you are seriously interested let me know quickly.

Clay

Drop in asking price must be more in line with condition. Detailed pics were requested but never received. Seller later notified that a deposit was taken and sale was pending. Seller emailed yesterday to say deal fell apart. Still haven't seen any detailed pics that I requested. Happens sometimes.

Yeah it's funny about that Clay....it also went from a "pretty solid chassis" to "chassis welded in a few places" and some other stuff.

But at 2,000 for something needing a tow in the UK my guess is it will sit for a bit...but would be a worthwhile pick for someone wanting one, willing to do a lot of work.

------ Follow up post added October 17th, 2012 02:29 PM ------

its also such a pity - there are some real nice ones out there - but they are at ridiculous prices now everyone is clued in on the 25yo US import deal....

I agree. The guy himself is an okay guy but I think even he thought he had something better than it actually was. I give him credit for not passing on a turd on under disguise. I bought my pastel green 110 from him so I know he occasionally fines a nice example here and there.

If it feels like a bubble, it's probably a bubble. Everyone should understand this by now, right ?
