Repairable 1997 Conniston D-90

1997 LR Defender with damage BUT with clean title.

Condition: Damage to left and right front fender with no rippling behind panel lines. Rust on rear member and normal all around rust. Runs great and yard drives. In general, truck will need fender and front bumper replacement, front end alignment, some steering linkage tuning and paint....rear member shows scaling and will have to be addressed in the future.

Milage: 85xxx. Odometer malfunctioned, so actual total mileage unknown. Carfax and prior bill of sale vets mil3age....

VIN:SALDV3246VA104619

I have a full right fender (incl interior parts) and other parts that will be included in sale price.

It is currently Ebay item #250987174942

zseansullivanz@gmail.com

First 15k takes it...I would rather see it go to one of you guys.

Wasn't Chris looking for an un-inflated priced D-90 truck?

True. Doesn't have A/C either, so this will be perfect for Chris! More pics here:

He didn't remove the Buy it Now.

If the auction is no-reserve auction as soon as 1 bid is placed the buy it now option goes away. He has take a risk by doing this unless he has a friendly bidder... The auction will now end where it ends, it could end above 15k though...

Guys,

my number is 401.263.8716, located in Providence, Rhode Island.

I haven't altered the EBAY listing and will not. Because it is listed in several locations the right to pull the listing is retained.

I'm not intending to charge more than 15k for this.... I think that is a fair price esp considering the extra parts...all things being equal I would much rather see it go to one of you...

Because of the contacts I have received today, this is going to finish up very quickly so if you have someone you think might be interested, contact me either via email: zseansullivanz@gmail.com or at my cell, ASAP.

I would prefer to sell to someone who is able to inspect it personally or at least have it inspected so there are NO surprises of any kind for the purchaser.

Thank You
Sean

(and I will be getting another D90...I honestly can't find another SUV type of vehicle I want)

Is that just surface rust on the front floors or a deeper issue? How is the frame? aside from the cross-member. How bad are the door bottoms? The bulkhead below the vents looks good, is that correct? Thanks

  • There is NO rust on the floors or front door bottoms...and I mean ZERO. The paint is chipped around some of the fastener heads.
  • The rear door is blistering towards the bottom and bottom frame area. I had planned to replace the rear door.
  • Frame is in very good condition other than rear member area.
  • The bulkhead below vents is in very good condition.

Classic case of getting promoted, then not having enough time to fiddle around with it. I actually agonized to pretty much the last min on this one... It was briefly put up on the site a few (5?) months ago in the hope that I could find the time....but it became clear that when I got nothing done that I should turn it over to someone who could.

Can you please send me DETAILED pics of the bad spots. Typical spots, rear frame and crossmember, bulkhead corners and footwell outside behind front tire above outrigger etc. Anything bad please.

Is the front frame bent?

ANY running yard driving issues?

email is best - thanks.

Doug
