I'd be VERY tempted as "the check is in the mail" for a deposit on my big International truck.

Tops come with it? I didn't notice it in the Ebay listing but maybe i read it too fast?

Hi Doug, It has a bestop that was in new condition until I tried to stretch it the other day. Now it needs to be fixed on the passenger side. It was almost 70 here when I did it too!

Thanks - I hope it sells for you...... but if it doesn't I may make you an offer. I don't want to insult you ---- yet.

People are still getting pretty high prices for these trucks on ebay it seems so you may very well snag a healthy buyer!

I sold Yeastie last year for right around that, and it was a fully-functional truck. I'm sorry Brian, but 15k is extremely unrealistic for a deadlined truck. I know I'm torpedoing your ad, but you've been around a long time and I'm sure you understand I'm not just doing this to dick you over. You might be able to get the 12k opening bid on a good day.

On the other hand, I disagree with Bill that the NAS 90 market is "soon to go in the tank." That opens up another debate entirely, which has already been beaten like a dead horse in other threads.

I didn't want to say anything about the value - but with no top top really and no motor and a not perfect truck.......

I really hope he gets some good $$ for it and like i mentioned Ebay is the place for sure. The truck is not worth all that much in the condition it's in.

Toss a used motor in there from Will Tillery and sell it for top dollar. A weekend spent getting it running would more than pay for itself in $$ and ease of sale.

Really? The Title alone is work 5-8K, the cage is another $3500 and the lockers another $1500.

A good used top is $500 or less, a good used motor from a Disco is about $1000.

Scott, the issue is not how cheaply you could get it running, it is how much a blown motor devalues a truck. Anytime you want to sell some thing with major faults, you take a major hit, because most people won't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

This truck could be a great value for someone that wants its features, but I personally hope that Brian will drop that 1000 dollar disco motor in it to save himself a 3-5k hit in final sales price.

Also diamond plating of that quantity usually adds 5 feet to the pole.

I have to agree - the diamond plate actually really kills it for me. The fact that I don't know what's under there, don't know if the trans is OK, the diffs OK etc since i can't run it..... the rear crossmember rust (and where else??) the broken bits here and there, the sun faded hood needing paint.... the value is just not there.

Take a full weekend of work with a buddy or two and toss a used motor in it, put a top on it, fix the little things and sell it for good $$.

I would offer about $7K only because i am really in the market and can do all the work myself. Another $1300 to ship a non-running truck, add misc parts and a motor and i am up at $11K not counting my time and labor for an unknown truck.

Doug

If it doesn't sell and that ARB bumper starts taking up too much room let me know. I think I have just enough room on the front of my 90 for it...
