Nope,

We just got this one in here. The one you are thinking of in Columbia is a '97 D-90. We have about 5 Defenders in stock company wide, all of which are '97's, except this one. FYI, here's a list of what all we have currently:

1997 Defender 90 Soft Top in Monza Red, 58K miles, $SOLD
1997 Defender 90 Soft Top in AA Yellow, 60K miles, $SOLD
1997 Defender 90 Station Wagon in Portifino Red, 47K miles, $SOLD
1997 Defender 90 Soft Top in Alpine White, 50K miles, $SOLD
1995 Defender 90 Soft Top in AA Yellow, 53K miles, $SOLD

We try to keep a good inventory of Defenders when we can and our inventory changes regularly.

Well, there are several reasons that we prefer to carry '97's. Probably the first answer is that most people have a harder time finding financing on anything older than '97. They were the last year of the truck, and they tend to be worth more than the other model years. Also, most people prefer the automatic. I know that after having 2 '94's, and now a '97, that I'm sold on the autobox. But still, everyone has their own preferences.

Will's LR Dealership is a good company to do business with. Sure, its a dealer, so the prices aren't bargain-basement, but the customer service is top-drawer. They don't treat their service and parts customers any differently that the people buying new Rangies, so you always feel welcome. Just wanted to throw out my endorsement!

Thanks Jim. I hope the 90 is coming together well. I remember what it used to look like whole!! Do you think that little College of Charleston coed misses it?

Phil, to be perfectly honest, I am not sure who installed the seats in this D-90, or where they came from. I do agree with you though, they look really cool....even though they actually keep your bum warm!!

Ha ha! You even remember who had it! Daddy had a 97 SW and bought her the ST for her sweet 16th. I think she left the bimini on year-round - filthy doesnt even begin to describe the poor truck. I talked them down almost 5k from their asking price.

That fact does not surprise me at all. Typical of that institution.

Mark, we'll get you back in a Defender one day soon. I think Fiona would kick you out of the house if you traded one of her baby's away!(Good lord I can hear them yipping now!) Now, we just need to get you a roof rack and some KiT for that '03 Disco (aka. the grocery getter)
