Price Drop on Fully Restored Lightweight

Howdy Fellow LR People!

I posted my fully restored 1975 Lightweight FFR RHD here a few weeks ago and wanted to let y'all know that I have dropped the asking price by $5,000.00 and posted it on Ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Land-Rover-O...le-Lightweight

You can see more photos there or go to my website for the full story.

You should have updated the original.

Sorry for any confusion, gentlemen. If you go on Ebay, you are sure to find my Lightweight posting with my best photos. The website has many more photos of the rebuild and roadtrip and I will be adding more today.

As of now, I am asking $30,000 but will work a discount for D Source people.

Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming!

Sorry I'm to lazy to go search for your auction on eBay.
(Boy am I cranky sometimes first thing in the morning!)

interesting auction

So, just finished with an auction of my Light Weight on Bring a Trailer. They did a very good job with the presentation, but the bidding started unrealistically low and didn't take off until the last couple of hours. The final bid was in the realm of possiblity, but still too low.
I am willing to make a deal, but don't want to pay someone to take it off my hands.
Ebay was not successful at all.
Any constructive hints, suggestions, or offers?

The marketplace has spoken.
My experience with heavily restored specialist vehicles tells me that the person who drops all the money into the restoration rarely gets all of it back when the time to sell it comes.
So keep it for six months, drive it. See if a LR mag will do an article on it. Spend a little time over winter bringing it back to your preferred standard and try again in specialist magazines eg Hemmings and in the UK.

Barrett Jackson? They're in Reno August 6-8th this year. Las Vegas September 24-26th. Scottsdale January 23-31st.

Not that close to you, but since you live literally in the middle of nowhere, it might be a good option.

Past sold Series trucks:

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archi...IIA-SUV-162232
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archi...RI-WAGON-17109

Important: look at the auction year. Looks like selling prices have tripled on series trucks between 2000ish and 2014.

I know a guy with a big wallet who probably would buy your truck. He had a piece of junk lightweight that he wanted to restore. English guy in Utah with a bunch of rovers. Send me your email address and I will give you his contact info.
